A truly exceptional piece of English pottery — this Alfred Meakin Westmeath covered vegetable dish features a delicate grey transferware pattern of trailing florals and lily-of-the-valley blooms that feels unmistakably French country in its elegance.

The soft platinum-grey print against crisp white gives this piece a refined, almost ethereal quality — far more subtle and sophisticated than typical blue transferware. The domed lid features a graceful floral ring handle, and the dish sits on a gently scalloped base with tab handles on both sides.

Please note: there is a small chip on one tab handle, visible in photos. Priced accordingly. All other surfaces are free of chips, cracks, or crazing.

Perfect for display on a dresser or sideboard, as a centerpiece, or as a working serving dish for a beautifully set table.
