A truly exceptional piece of English pottery — this Alfred Meakin Westmeath covered vegetable dish is in excellent condition, with bright white ironstone and a delicate grey transferware pattern of trailing florals and lily-of-the-valley blooms that feels unmistakably French country in its elegance.

The soft platinum-grey print against crisp white gives this piece a refined, almost ethereal quality — far more subtle and sophisticated than typical blue transferware. The domed lid features a graceful floral ring handle, and the dish sits on a gently scalloped base with tab handles on both sides. A rare find in this condition.

Perfect for display on a dresser or sideboard, as a centerpiece, or as a working serving dish for a beautifully set table. This is the kind of piece that anchors a room.
